Re: The Official 6 Nations Rugby Thread
Its a simple game where teams line up on either side and run at each other.
And does any other game require you to advance and then throw the ball backwards? And routinely kick the ball off the pitch.
Wouldnt it be better if both teams were deployed all over the pitch, competed with each other with their ball skills and could distribute the ball in any 360 degree direction?
And actually kick the ball properly

If only there was a game like that

Re: The Official 6 Nations Rugby Thread
No because in football these are often professional fouls which result in just a free kick. In Rugby it's a penalty and usually a 3pts kick..

What professional fouls like when they tackle someone in the box and don't touch the ball?? Or when they handball in the box??

PENALTY...

Lets be honest... vast majority of Sportman are thick.. whether it;s football or Rugby

Re: The Official 6 Nations Rugby Thread
I mean I,ve seen penalties given for a player who's on the ground tackled not releasing the ball but he's got like 3 players on top of him crushing him...wtf. How's he supposed to release it.

It's a scrappy/messy game.

Regarding how BENT football is compared to Rugby

Football… one player gets covid….. whole team isolates …. Game gets cancelled

Rugby… Cardiff Blues… 42 players unavailable …. To fulfil the fixture in the European Cup… use youths, reserves… and locals from amateur clubs…

Which sport is BENT??

True, and the idea that grown ass men who cried over the thought of catching a cold calling anyone else queer is rather ironic, in a very literal sense rather than an Allanis Morrisette fashion.

I think the infractions are generally correctly called in Rugby unlike VAR which is a fucking lottery and the refs are generally respected in Rugby with very few answering back and crowding the ref, just take a look at Nigel Owens the bloke is a fucking legend in the game, how many refs in football are considered legends? Only one I can think of is Pierluigi Collina?

The England squad looks as threadbare as our one, gonna have to finish above France to win it I think. Cant wait for Saturday, need to shove one up the jocks.

And each ref seems to have their own interpretation of what is and isn't an infingement.

Works brilliantly in Rugby…. Video ref communication with pitch ref is spot on … I’d say 99.9% of the time they come up with the correct decision… hardly ever hear of a bad call in Rugby….. not discussed after games… it’s more about the actual play…. Where as Football… well…. After game show it must be nigh on VAT/Ref decisions non stop topic and even on here hardly anyone agrees… Yeah Rugby… proper fick sport???

Re: The Official 6 Nations Rugby Thread
I have no problem with Rugby, it's a good sport and I might watch the world cup every 4 years and the Lions tours. Thing is I don't have a scooby what is going on out there, and never been convinced that many do.

I've noticed ardent Rugby fans seem to be very passionate about their countries and seem to be massively hyped even for run of the mill games. You rarely see that as much with the England football team, unless it's a seriously big game.

Have to be the thickest professional sportsmen on earth.

I mean explain to me why they forget the rules once on the pitch and give away stupid penalties? And each ref seems to have their own interpretation of what is and isn't an infingement. Rubbish game.
